Floor, room or both
A floor sensor measures the floor directly and is essential under timber and other temperature-sensitive finishes. A room sensor holds air temperature. Many DEVIreg models use both, heating to room temperature while capping the floor.
Scheduling
Programming the heating to match when you use the room is the single biggest saving. Connected thermostats let you change the schedule from your phone.
Install the sensor properly
- Run the sensor in conduit, centred between two cable runs
- Seal the conduit end so adhesive can't get in
- A sensor in conduit can be replaced later without lifting tiles
