Illustration: DEVIA dry system with no screed. DEVIcell plates are aluminium-covered insulation panels with ready-made grooves for DEVIflex cable, spreading heat evenly under floating timber, laminate and parquet. Installs over existing floors and subfloors.
Benefits and advantages
- No screed or masonry work, so it's quick and the floor can go down straight away
- Up to 20% extra energy saving from the integrated insulation
- Full aluminium coverage gives fast response and even heat
- Only 13 mm thick, with -3 dB noise reduction
- Fits odd corners and irregular rooms
System design starting points
- Linear output 6 or 10 W/m (DEVIflex 10T); maximum 100 W/m²
- Build-up: subfloor, DEVIcell with cable, vapour barrier, noise absorption layer, then timber or laminate
- Dry installation only under timber and laminate: never embed DEVIcell in concrete
- Fix with connective clips, edge plates and aluminium tape; about 5 m of cable per plate
- A floor sensor is essential to limit the floor temperature for the timber
