Frost and condensation protection for a multi-level warehouse storing vaccines and medicines at down to −30 °C.
The project
Working with panel manufacturer Askin Performance Panels, we supplied heating for CSL Behring's Broadmeadows warehouse, which stores vaccines and medicines at temperatures down to −30 °C. It is one of the largest and most complex projects we have supplied.
Each level of the building runs its cool rooms at a different temperature. Heating cable was fixed to the columns on every level, and heated panels were installed at the entries and exits so doorways and thresholds stay free of ice.
